Competition entry for public housing and offices. The client’s offices (public social services) are located in the adjacent building. The brief asks extended offices at the ground floor and as many decent dwellings as possible in the storeys. The aim of the project is to generate a fluent and efficient circulation pattern between both buildings and a clearly separate access to the dwellings, all through the same existing passageway in respect of the existing 19th century building’s typology. Heat and warm water are plugged to an unique central boiler system heated by solar panels and condensing gas boilers or, if affordable later in time, by a small biomass heater.
